About The Position

UPS is seeking a hands-on, reliable Trailer Utility Technician to join their team. This role is integral to yard and shop support, involving the safe movement of trailers and dollies, assisting with equipment upkeep, and ensuring smooth behind-the-scenes operations. The Utility Worker will collaborate with repair personnel to complement their tasks as needed. This position is ideal for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced, active environment and play a critical role in maintaining operational efficiency within a Fortune Global 500 organization.

Requirements

Must have an active driver’s license issued by the state
Must be 21 years or older
Must be willing to work Monday to Friday, 5:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
CDL Class A - REQUIRED
Must have a license to pull doubles - Doubles endorsement - REQUIRED
5 years of experience driving heavy-duty vehicles with manual transmission
Ability to maneuver combination vehicles safely and efficiently
Experience pulling doubles
Strong safety awareness and attention to detail
Must be currently located in the same geographic location as the job or willing to relocate yourself
Must be a U.S. Citizen or National of the U.S., an alien lawfully admitted for permanent residence, or an alien authorized to work in the U.S. for this employer

Responsibilities

Safely move (shuttle) trailers and dollies between UPS locations
Operate a forklift to handle materials and equipment
Support shop operations, including washing trailers and dollies and basic painting tasks
Assist with unloading supplies and maintaining an organized workspace
Ensure compliance with DOT requirements as needed for the role
