About The Position

Kooner Fleet Management Solutions is seeking a Trailer Technician to join their team. This field-based role is responsible for performing preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on Commercial trailers. Requirements

  • At least 3 years of hands-on trailer tech experience working on Commercial trailers.
  • DOT inspection and air brake repair expertise.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Comfortable using mobile apps, navigation systems and digital tools to stay organized and document repairs.
  • Ready for the outdoors – rain or shine at customer yards.
  • Independent, dependable, and self-motivated.
  • A positive attitude and safety-first mindset.
  • Must be 23+ with a clean driving record and a valid driver’s license.
  • Must bring own hand tools.

Responsibilities

  • Perform onsite preventative maintenance, DOT inspections and follow up repairs on Commercial trailers in a field environment.
  • Respond to dispatch requests for scheduled and unscheduled service or maintenance.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical, brake, suspension and air systems – keeping trailers safe, compliant, and road-ready.
  • Repair structural and exterior components such as corner nose rails, corner radius, wheel seals, bottom skirts, panels, doors, and top rails.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to perform repairs.
  • Stay productive and efficient, meeting or beating industry-standard repair times.
  • Support team members wherever needed.
