About The Position

Tidy Services is looking for a Trailer Technician to be part of their team. This is a safety-sensitive position. The job includes diagnosing, servicing, maintaining, cleaning, delivering, and retrieving assigned trailers within their service area. Trailer responsibilities include portable restroom trailers, toilet and equipment hauling trailers, and cargo trailers. At times, the trailer technician will be required to help with other portable toilet assignments such as delivery, pick-up, or cleaning of portable toilets.

Requirements

  • Hold a valid driver’s license
  • Have an insurable driving record: minimum of three (3) years of driving experience with no major moving violations (reckless driving, DUI, etc.), no other moving violations within the past 12 months, and no more than two (2) in the past three (3) years.
  • Ability to read and comprehend GPS systems and Google maps or the equivalent.
  • Required to have and ability to use a smartphone
  • Must be at least 21 years old

Nice To Haves

  • General contracting knowledge in carpentry, electrical and/or plumbing desired.
  • Prefer to have at least 3 years of experience repairing RV’s or restroom trailers

Responsibilities

  • Diagnosing, servicing, maintaining, cleaning, delivering, and retrieving assigned trailers.
  • Being available and on-call at any time to deliver, repair, or take care of a restroom trailer related issue.
  • Discussing any questions or problems on routes with supervisor or dispatcher daily.
  • Completing all assigned work on the designated day and in the order assigned, discussing any changes with the supervisor before making them.
  • Communicating problems on routes immediately to the dispatcher or a route supervisor via cell phone before going on to the next stop.
  • Using the company app to complete each stop and noting all problems in the daily route log.
  • Checking the company vehicle before the start of each day to ensure it is serviced properly and has all necessary equipment.
  • Checking the truck in accordance with Department of Transportation and company safety regulations before leaving the company lot.
  • Fueling the truck and preparing it at the end of the route for the next day's work.
  • Filling out a daily truck inspection report daily.
  • Wearing provided uniforms or clothing and maintaining a neat and professional appearance at all times.
  • Performing any additional duties as assigned by management.
