Detroit Aggregate is looking for a Trailer Tech to perform maintenance on our fleet of Class 8 trucks and construction equipment (Gravel Trains). Requirements
- 1 year of experience
- Basic set of tools
- Experience working on hydraulics, concrete mixer trucks, gravel train equipment and diesel trucks
- Experience working on trailers
Responsibilities
- Perform all levels of preventive maintenance services
- Repair trailers and related equipment in a timely and efficient manner
- Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings and other important parts to ensure that they are in proper working condition
- Perform routine maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries and lubricating equipment and machinery
- Responsible for repairing damage to containers, trailers, and chassis.
- Repairing tears on the sides of containers
- Replacing lights
- Tire repair
- Landing gear repair
- Frame repair
