About The Position

The Trailer Technicians will work in conjunction with the Service Writer and the other Technicians to complete preventative maintenance and repairs on the TransX fleet in a timely and efficient manner by diagnosing problems found during inspections and prescribing the correct remedial action. Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Trailer Technician
  • Ability to obtain CVIP Certification
  • Knowledge of common occupational skills

Nice To Haves

  • A journeyman or having a safety inspection certificate would be an asset

Responsibilities

  • Complete preventative maintenance and repairs on the TransX fleet in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Diagnose problems found during inspections and prescribe the correct remedial action.
  • Conducts PMs, wheel re-torques, general maintenance and inspections, minor structural repairs, panel and scuff liner repairs.
  • Has experience in torch and welding capabilities.
  • Performs brake work, tire work, and wheel-end repairs to suspension and related parts.
  • Has some knowledge of structural repairs.
  • Can diagnose ABS system and can perform wheel seal replacement.
