About The Position

Blaine Brothers is a Minnesota-based, family-owned business with a beautiful facility in Clearwater, MN, seeking an experienced Trailer Technician. This position involves the repair and maintenance of semi-trailers, as well as all other styles and sizes of trailers. The role is for the 2nd shift, Monday through Friday, from 3 pm to 12 am, with a shift differential for this shift.

Requirements

Great work ethic
Willingness to jump in and help out where needed
Mechanical aptitude, trailer mechanic experience a plus
Welding experience a plus
Ability to lift 50-100 lbs. occasionally and 10-50 lbs. frequently
Good written and verbal communication skills
Reliability and a dedication to be a hard worker
Ability to work independently maintaining a safe, efficient and friendly work environment
Honesty and respect

Responsibilities

Determines vehicle condition by conducting inspections and diagnostic tests; identifying worn and damaged parts.
Perform repair and customization work as assigned including routine maintenance, brake replacement/repair, suspension repair, electrical and pneumatic and hydraulic component troubleshooting and repair, trailer body repair including complete trailer rebuild.
Inspect the overall condition of trailers to ensure that they meet U.S. Department of Transportation's safety requirements.
Compile inspection reports detailing their findings.
Provide after-sale services, such as component installation.
Track all parts and materials used in repairs or replacements.
Ensure the final work product meets quality standards.
Maintain a safe and clean work area for customers and co-workers.
