About The Position

We are a Minnesota based family-owned business with our main location in Inver Grove Heights. As we continue to grow and expand we currently have an opening for a Tank Mechanic / Technician in our Tank Shop. We are looking for someone with experience as a mechanic working with Trucks, Trailers or Tanks; detail oriented; willing to jump in and help out where needed and has a strong work ethic. This position handles the complete diagnosis, repair and general maintenance and routine servicing and repairing of tank trailers.

Responsibilities

Diagnose, troubleshoot, disassemble vehicles and examine parts for defects and excessive wear.
Corrects vehicle deficiencies by removing, repairing, adjusting, overhauling, assembling, disassembling, and replacing major components as needed.
Perform repair and customization work as assigned including routine maintenance, component troubleshooting and repair, body repair.
Inspect the overall condition of Tank Trailer to ensure that it meets U.S. Department of Transportation's safety requirements.
Compile inspection reports detailing their findings
Track all parts and materials used in repairs or replacements.
Ensure the final work product meets quality standards
Maintain a safe and clean work area for customers and co-workers
