U-Haul is seeking skilled technicians to maintain its fleet of trailers and Ford and GMC trucks. This role is suitable for individuals with or without prior experience in trailer and vehicle repair. U-Haul boasts the largest fleet in the industry and is committed to keeping it in top condition. The company continuously updates its fleet, ensuring technicians work with the latest equipment. U-Haul offers a Technician Training Program, including courses from Ford, GM, and U-Haul, and provides necessary tools. New hires will learn from experienced team members in a family-like atmosphere. The position involves using U-Haul's proprietary technology for vehicle assessment and care, with ample opportunities for career growth.

Requirements

Basic mechanical aptitude
1-2 years of repair experience preferred
Driver’s license
The ability to work as part of a team as well as individually
Basic computer skills
Regular attendance

Responsibilities

Secure trailers on lifts and dollies.
Perform tire and brake maintenance.
Rebuild and repair braking systems and trailer components.
Dismount, balance and mount tires.
Occasionally road-test vehicles.
Work on a production line.
Use proprietary electronic pre-inspection and repair checklist.
Lend assistance in additional areas as necessary, following the directives and guidance of their supervisor.
