About The Position

U-Haul is seeking skilled technicians to maintain its fleet of trailers and Ford and GMC trucks. This role involves performing maintenance on U-Haul trailers and vehicles, working with the latest equipment, and growing through a Technician Training Program. U-Haul provides the necessary tools and fosters a family atmosphere with long-term team members. The position utilizes U-Haul's proprietary technology for vehicle assessment and care, offering endless opportunities for career growth.

Requirements

• Basic mechanical aptitude
• 1-2 years of repair experience preferred
• Driver’s license
• The ability to work as part of a team as well as individually
• Basic computer skills
• Regular attendance

Responsibilities

• Secure trailers on lifts and dollies.
• Perform tire and brake maintenance.
• Rebuild and repair braking systems and trailer components.
• Dismount, balance and mount tires.
• Occasionally road-test vehicles.
• Work on a production line.
• Use proprietary electronic pre-inspection and repair checklist.
• Willingly lend assistance in additional areas as necessary, following the directives and guidance of their supervisor.
