About The Position

Fleet Mobile Maintenance (FMM) is seeking talented Trailer Shop Technicians to join their locally run, family-oriented team. With cutting-edge technology that reduces administrative time, technicians can focus more on their work and less on paperwork. FMM proudly serves its community and is looking for individuals to grow with them. The company offers a schedule of Monday-Friday and the opportunity to earn an additional $700 bi-weekly with efficiency bonuses. FMM's service offerings include mobile preventative maintenance and mechanical repair, tire replacement and repair services, and trailer repair and maintenance services, serving various markets in the Southeast corridor of Michigan and other cities. They are a passionate team focused on being the best service providers by following DOT standards and prioritizing customer needs, offering on-site service to minimize downtime. Requirements

  • 5+ years of proven trailer repair experience.
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to lift 100+ lbs.
  • Basic computer skills for repair order submission.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Must provide own tools and have reliable transportation.
  • Needs to have or be able to obtain a valid Chauffer's license.

Nice To Haves

  • Welding experience/certification.
  • Technical school degree or training.
  • Class A CDL.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair commercial trailers on-site.
  • Perform mobile road calls and in-yard service, completing detailed work orders.
  • Inspect, service, and repair trailer bodies, systems, and components.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance on semi-trucks and trailers.
  • Repair and replace hubs, axles, brakes, tires, suspension, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Perform welding/fabrication and other structural repairs.
  • Ensure all equipment meets DOT safety and compliance requirements.
  • Document repairs, inspections, and findings for management and billing.
  • Provide excellent customer service and respond quickly to client needs.
