About The Position

We are looking for Trailer Mechanic to work under the direction of the Shop Manager. This role is accountable for proper completion of all work as assigned and must maintain documentation of work. Compliance with all company policies is a strict requirement. Other duties and special projects as assigned by management.

Requirements

HM183 Certified
Applicants must be at least 18 years of age to be considered.
High School Diploma/GED Required
Must be able to lift 75 lbs.
Position requires frequent standing, bending and walking
Must be able to withstand weather conditions
Posses basic tools
Willing to work in an open air workshop
Pre-employment drug screening required.

Nice To Haves

Tank Trailer repair experience preferred
Basic MIG, TIG welding experience preferred

Responsibilities

Chassis/ Tank repairs
Tank Repairs
Welding (Tig & Mig on Aluminum, Carbon, and Stainless Steel)
90 Day Inspections
Tank Trailer Maintenance
Brakes
Repair ABS Systems
FHWA Inspections
Be on call to fix units
Light travel in Houston area for repairs
Coordinate repairs with other departments.
Make cost estimates on Chassis repair for customers
Monitor and adhere to inventory management system.
Respond to customer concerns, complaints, etc.
Process orders and determine customer needs.
Communicate inventory to customers/ in and out shipments/ etc.
Adhere to current programs and policies to ensure safety and environmental regulatory compliance.
