About The Position
Responsible for day-to-day equipment maintenance on company equipment consisting of preventative maintenance, minor to major repairs to trailers.
Requirements
- Valid and unrestricted Driver’s license
- Must have a Toolbox
- Minimum of 1 year of Trailer Technician experience preferred.
- Ability to enter and exit the driver's compartment of the truck and/or behind cab using normally available footholds and handholds.
- Ability to move and position objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, kneel and crawl to inspect and or wash vehicles.
Nice To Haves
- Automotive/Mechanical Trade or Vocational certification preferred
Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance, preventive maintenance and repair of company equipment and tools involving mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and plumbing systems
- Troubleshoots, diagnoses and repairs mechanical, electrical and hydraulic malfunctions
- Performs P.M. inspections to ensure DOT requirements are met
- Assists with road service calls during emergency breakdowns.
- Complete required documentation associated with repairing vehicles and documenting parts usage
- Assures compliance with all appropriate safety rules and regulations
- Other duties as assigned
