About The Position

Amerit Fleet Solutions, a leader in fleet maintenance across the U.S., is hiring a skilled Trailer Technician/Mechanic to join our team in Hampton, GA. This role involves performing preventive maintenance and repairs on class 7 - 8 trailers, diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, and conducting inspections to ensure vehicles meet safety and compliance standards. The technician will also be responsible for accurately documenting repairs, completing work orders, and maintaining a clean and organized work area. Safety procedures and company policies must be followed, and collaboration with supervisors and team members is essential to support fleet operations.

Requirements

• 3+ years’ of hands-on experience performing class 7 - 8 trailer maintenance and repairs
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to own and maintain the personal tools and toolbox required for the role
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Willingness and ability to meet the physical demands of the position
• Ability to successfully pass a background check, pre-employment drug screen, and DOT physical if required for the role
