About The Position
Reyes Fleet Management is hiring immediately for the role of a 1st shift Trailer Mechanic B for their site in Portage, IN. This role will primarily be responsible for handling repairs on new and refurbished trailers. As a Trailer Upfitting Technician, you will be responsible for the refurbishment and remanufacturing of company fleet assets. You will assist with diagnosing and detailed inspections of complex mechanical and electric problems utilizing diagnostic technology/software, complete thorough documentation of work orders for repairs through the online AssetWorks system, install trailer refrigeration, heating units, and external graphics, and perform basic welding, metal cutting, and installation of hydraulic liftgate components.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and 2 plus years of related experience
- Must possess own tools (have minimum tool requirement)
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record in compliance with Department of Transportation regulations to operate applicable company vehicles

Responsibilities
- The Trailer Upfitting Technician is responsible for the refurbishment and remanufacturing of company fleet assets within the Company
