Requirements

Hands-on experience with trailer or mechanical repair
2+ years of welding or fabrication experience is preferred
Experience with hydraulics, air brakes/DOT systems, or electrical systems is a plus
Mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical troubleshooting experience
Basic math skills
Can read a tape measure and follow basic engineering drawings
Able to bend, kneel, stand for extended periods, and lift up to 75 lbs.
A strong work ethic, adaptability, and self-motivation

Nice To Haves

A State Inspection License or Class A CDL is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Build and assemble tractor-trailers and their components from the ground up.
Install hydraulic systems, air brake systems, trailer lights, and electrical wiring.
Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues to identify problems and make needed repairs.
Repair and maintain trailers, including working on axles and making adjustments.
Read basic engineering drawings and instructions to complete assembly and repair work accurately.
Use hand tools and shop equipment to complete a variety of hands-on mechanical and fabrication work.
Paint and finish trailer parts and components as part of the production process.
