About The Position

Imperial Dade is seeking a Trailer Driver/Class A Delivery Driver in Racine, WI. This role is part of a growing transportation group and offers an opportunity for career advancement. The Trailer Driver/Class A Delivery Driver will be responsible for a daily route, delivering merchandise to customers. This involves unloading product using hand, pallet jack, and dolly, and delivering to the customer-designated location. The key aspects of this role are safe delivery and exceptional customer service. The route covers the Chicago area, with a schedule of Monday - Friday from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, or until the daily route is completed.

Requirements

• A valid commercial driver’s license
• Must be able to pass a DOT Medical Exam
• A good driving record
• 1 year of recent CDL A experience
• 1 year of route delivery experience
• 1 year of manual pallet jack and hand truck experience
• Ability to handle a physical workload (lift 50+ pounds comfortably and unassisted)
• Lift gate experience
• Strong work ethic

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a 53’ truck or smaller
• Load and unload cargo via hand, manual pallet jack, and lift gate
• Properly track and document activity log
• Report any issues or incidents to dispatch
• Inspect the truck before and after trips
• Communicate with customers with a positive, outgoing attitude
