About The Position

We are looking for a Trailer Service Technician / Auto Body Technician to operate our company trucks to deliver, set up, service, and pick up various types of equipment, such as sanitation trailers. Our Trailer Technicians also refurbish equipment, including plumbing, carpentry, flooring, electric, HVAC, auto body repair, fiberglass repair, set up fresh water systems and holding tanks and other tasks as required. We are looking for someone who has a positive and professional attitude, enjoys problem solving and thrives in a fast pace rewarding environment.

Requirements

  • HS Diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least 1-year general vehicle driving experience.
  • Valid Driver License positions for non-commercial, CDL Class A, CDL Class B.
  • Experience in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, auto body repair, painting, fiberglass repair, and/or welding preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform basic service truck driving functions in accordance with RTG and DOT requirements.
  • Perform all work duties in a safe manner in accordance with RTG and DOT safety standards to ensure there are no accidents or injuries.
  • Perform duties by sitting, standing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. In addition, perform lifting/pushing between 50 and 150 lbs. on a frequent basis during work shifts.
  • Conduct portable toilets service to RTG service standards.
  • Perform customer service interactions on customer work sites to ensure they are getting the services completed to their standards.
  • The ability to be flexible to meet customer needs when routes need to be adjusted or changed.
  • Deliver, setup and tear down sanitation trailers and systems.
  • Refurbish, remodel, and replace items as needed in restroom trailers, shower trailers, bunk and laundry trailers, campers, and other equipment as required.
  • Install freshwater systems and holding tanks on jobsite trailers.
  • Perform auto body repair work on trailers and related equipment, including dent removal, sanding, painting, fiberglass repair, and welding as necessary.
  • Perform service calls.
  • Identify and repair structural damage, align and fit panels, and apply protective coatings to extend trailer longevity.
  • Provide routing and service feedback to the Manager to be most efficient as well as giving the customer the best service possible.
