About The Position

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Traffic/Transportation Civil Engineering Intern – Summer 2027 to join our Raleigh, NC office. This role involves working alongside traffic engineers to compile and analyze data for reports and presentations to North Carolina Department of Transportation staff. The intern will also perform field data collection of traffic data, assist with drafting technical reports and presentations based on data analysis, and help write code, scripts, or algorithms to analyze raw data for reports and graphics.

Requirements

• Must have completed 60 hours towards a civil engineering degree from an ABET accredited program by the start of the internship (Summer 2027).
• Basic computer skills required to enter data into spreadsheets or databases.

Nice To Haves

• No experience is required if accepted into an Associate's or Bachelor's degree program in a related technical field.

Responsibilities

• Compile and analyze data for reports and presentations to North Carolina Department of Transportation staff.
• Perform field data collection of traffic data.
• Assist with drafting technical reports and presentations based on data analysis.
