About The Position

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Traffic/Transportation Civil Engineering Intern for Summer 2027 to join our Raleigh, NC office. This role involves working alongside traffic engineers to compile and analyze data for reports and presentations for the North Carolina Department of Transportation. Responsibilities include performing field data collection, assisting with drafting technical reports and presentations, and aiding in the development of code, scripts, or algorithms for data analysis.

Requirements

• Must have completed 60 hours towards a civil engineering degree from an ABET accredited program by the start of the internship (Summer 2027).
• Basic computer skills required to enter data into spreadsheets or databases.

Nice To Haves

• No experience is required if accepted into an Associate's or Bachelor's degree program in a related technical field.

Responsibilities

• Compile and analyze data for reports and presentations to North Carolina Department of Transportation staff.
• Perform field data collection of traffic data.
• Assist with drafting technical reports and presentations based on data analysis.
• Assist with writing code, scripts, or algorithms to analyze raw data for reports and graphics.
