About The Position

Supervises all Distribution Center employees to ensure the smooth operation of the Distribution Center and create an atmosphere of high productivity while keeping within the guidelines of company policies and procedures.

Requirements

B.S. /B.A. Degree or equivalent work experience.
Neat, orderly, and accurate.
Security and safety conscious.
Ability to stand, walk, talk or hear.
Ability to use hands.
Ability to reach overhead.
Ability to lift or move up to 25 lbs, possibly up to 50 lbs.
Ability to bend, stoop, and climb stairs.
Close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
Ability to write, count, and read required shipping/company paperwork.

Responsibilities

Implement company policies and procedures.
Make sure all doors are unlocked.
Make sure the truck from North Alabama is unloaded.
Supervise the unloading of all freight and UPS, pulling of all packing slips, separating by purchase order number, checking to see if orders are pre-ticketed and moving the merchandise by class number to appropriate sections.
Supervise the matching of pick tickets to the purchase orders.
Supervise the moving of merchandise that is ready for ticketing to the tagging tables.
Supervise the moving of ticketed merchandise from the tagging table area to the store holding area.
Write-up manifest sheets for the stores.
Check off manifests for the loading of trucks.
Supervise the loading of merchandise from the store holding area onto the trucks for delivery. Ensure that all boxes of one order are kept together and that all of the order is loaded.
Supervise the unloading of the local trucks and ensures that transfers are placed in the proper place.
Supervise the keeping of the support area free of pick tickets that are ready to be placed on orders.
Assist the support personnel on store problems and researches as needed.
Give routing instructions by phone/email when requested by vendors.
Assist with matching packing slips to purchase orders as needed.
Back-up Driver. Drives as needed.
Ensure all store-to-store transfers and monogramming is delivered to the stores in a timely manner.
