About The Position

Stanley Consultants is seeking a Traffic Studies/Planning Engineer for their DeBary, FL office. This role involves project quality assurance, team support, technical organization support, and business development. The engineer will participate in traffic studies related to strategic and growth initiatives, assist with major project pursuits, new business development, and local client relationships. They will also support client outreach, build and maintain client relationships, lead traffic studies, draft and review scopes and fees, and serve as a traffic studies lead on key department projects. Additionally, the role includes recommending operating policies, standards, and procedures, and supporting management for various operational needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or related field
  • At least 5 years of relevant work experience
  • Florida Professional Engineer (PE) license or be able to obtain in a few months
  • Traffic Engineering experience, and/or planning, analysis and studies experience
  • Great written and oral communication skills
  • Safety Planning experience
  • Knowledge of engineering practices and procedures, including: FHWA Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD), Florida Design Manual (FDM), FDOT Traffic Engineering Manual (TEM)

  • Recommend operating policies, standards, and procedures
  • Support the Traffic Department Manager(s) and the Traffic and ITS Group Manager for various operational needs
  • Perform other functions delegated by the Traffic and ITS Engineering Group Manager and/or Transportation Market Leader
