About The Position
This position will support the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) through direct, on-site work. Supports engineering projects, document development and design, and performs other related tasks. Works on multiple small projects with few complex features as a technical lead or portions of larger conventional projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from accredited program.
- Minimum of 6 or more years of engineering experience.
- Registered PE.
- Applies practical knowledge acquired through progressive experience to resolve issues.
- Strong working knowledge of Auto Cad, Micro station, and other essential equipment for field and office work.
- Keeps informed of new methods and developments affecting the organization.
Responsibilities
- Assist in project scope and budget development, as well as, assisting in project design.
- Supports PM providing technical leadership on conventional projects.
- Designs experiments, interprets, and develops conclusions on complex data.
- Writes and reviews engineer specifications, documents, drawings, etc. to produce various deliverables.
- Designs a component, or process on a complex projects or designs complete a project, systems, or components on conventional projects.
- Responsible for completing a subset of project documents.
- Participate in client meetings, as appropriate.
- Conducts on-site visits to monitor progress of project.
- Performs other duties as requested.
