Traffic Group Manager

Alliant EngineeringSalt Lake City, UT

About The Position

This is a rare opportunity to build, lead, and shape a growing traffic engineering practice in one of the Mountain West’s most dynamic transportation markets. As Traffic Engineering Group Manager, you’ll lead Alliant’s traffic team in our Salt Lake City office - setting the vision, growing the business, and mentoring the next generation of traffic engineers. You’ll combine technical leadership, people development, and client engagement to deliver meaningful projects that improve safety, mobility, and community outcomes across Utah. We’re looking for a leader who thrives at the intersection of strategy and execution - someone who enjoys developing teams just as much as delivering high‑quality traffic engineering solutions. You’ll play a visible role in expanding our presence with UDOT, local agencies, and private clients while helping define how our traffic group grows in the region.

  • Working knowledge of Bentley‑based design platforms including MicroStation, GEOPAK (V8i), OpenRoads Designer, and/or InRoads
  • Comfort operating in a collaborative, team‑oriented environment with strong interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the organizational skills needed to lead multiple initiatives
  • The selected candidate must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. without requiring visa sponsorship now or in the future.
