Traffic Engineers and Designers
About The Position
AECOM's Southeast Transportation business line partners with clients to build, modernize, and expand transportation projects. They utilize extensive knowledge in planning, designing, and managing transportation systems, as well as restoring and replacing aging infrastructure, to help public and private clients find smarter, more advanced ways to move people. Their integrated approach and social responsibility have earned them the trust of local municipalities, government agencies, commercial clients, and public-private partnerships. This role involves working on alternative delivery projects, including mega-projects, and is for all levels of Traffic Engineers and Designers throughout the southern US.
Requirements
- CAD Designers: BS Degree or demonstrated equivalency of education and/or experience
- Junior Level Engineers: BS in Engineering + 2 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of education and/or experience
- Mid-Level Engineers: BS in Engineering + 6 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of education and/or experience
- Senior Level Engineers / Task Leads: BS in Engineering + 10 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of education and/or experience
- Experience in large Design/Build or Alternative Delivery projects, specifically highway transportation projects
- Experience with Bentley Microstation and Open Roads
- Experience in signing/pavement marking design
- Experience with traffic signal design
Nice To Haves
- Experience in Interstate design, and complex interchanges preferred.
- EIT Certification or PE License
- State DOT experience
- Knowledge and prior use of the AASHTO Green Book and Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices.
Responsibilities
- Work on alternative delivery projects, including mega-projects.
- Serve as Junior level, mid-level, or senior level Traffic Engineers (including signing & pavement markings and traffic signals).
- Serve as Traffic CAD Designers (including signing & marking design and traffic signal design).
