Dewberry is currently seeking a Traffic Engineering Intern for Summer 2027 to join our Transportation Group in our Fairfax, VA office. Requirements

• Currently pursuing a B.S. in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in transportation.
• Experience using CADD (MicroStation or AutoCAD).
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment.

Nice To Haves

• Previous internship experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work under the direction of a licensed professional engineer on all facets of traffic engineering.
• Design and studies related to traffic signals, signing and pavement markings.
• Design and studies related to work zone traffic control, Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), Connected and Autonomous (CAV) vehicle technology, roadway lighting.
• Conduct traffic operational analyses and safety analyses.
