About The Position

Barge Design Solutions, Inc. is seeking a motivated Traffic Engineering Associate to join our team in Atlanta, GA. In this position, you will play a key role in delivering impactful infrastructure solutions that benefit the communities we serve, including engaging work on a variety of traffic design projects. You’ll have the opportunity to take ownership of smaller projects while also contributing to larger, more complex initiatives under the guidance of senior engineers. Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited program.
Minimum of 1-2 years of roadway design experience.
Engineer Intern (EI) / Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Certification required.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly WORD and EXCEL.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills are important.
Working knowledge of utilizing AASHTO and MUTCD roadway design materials

Nice To Haves

Experience using Bentley OpenRoads Designer (ORD) software preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist in the design of a variety of Traffic project types.
Collaborate with project team members, client representatives, review agencies to resolve issues and develop effective solutions
Assist in the analysis and preparation of reports, specifications, plans, and permits for projects.
Use computer-aided design (CAD) software to prepare engineering and design documents/drawings
Accompany design team on site visits and client meetings as needed.
Learn and apply Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) guidelines, policies, and procedures
Ensure tasks are completed promptly and meet quality expectations.
