About The Position

We are seeking a Traffic Engineer to join our team. This role involves formulating teams to design and prepare plans for new transportation systems or infrastructure. You will review construction plans, design calculations, and cost estimates to ensure accuracy and conformity to client standards. Additionally, you will supervise the maintenance or repair of transportation systems or components, and analyze traffic problems, studies of traffic patterns, environmental conditions, accident rates, safety measures, and pedestrian volume to identify issues and plan for potential project impacts. The role also includes preparing technical or statistical reports and final project layout drawings with stress calculations. You will develop plans for the environmentally sound deconstruction of damaged or obsolete roadways or transportation structures, identify environmental risks, and develop risk management strategies. Evaluating traffic control devices or lighting systems for modification or expansion, and ensuring compliance with environmental, safety, or government regulations are also key responsibilities. You will partner with the Marketing Director to prepare and present public reports on bid proposals, deeds, environmental impact statements, and property/right-of-way descriptions, and participate in client meetings.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Transportation Planning or Transportation Engineering
  • 1 year of experience as a Traffic Engineer
  • Experience using Synchro, Sim Traffic, HCS, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Auto Turn

Responsibilities

  • Develop plans to deconstruct damages or obsolete roadways or other transportation structures in a manner that is environmentally sound.
  • Identify environmental risks and develop risk management strategies for all projects.
  • Evaluate traffic control devices or lighting systems to determine the need for modification or expansion.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, or other government regulations.
  • Partner with Marketing Director to prepare and present public reports on topics such as bid proposals, deeds, environmental impact statements, or property and right-of-way descriptions.
  • Participate in client meetings such as proposal, progress and completion meetings.
