Dewberry's Pennsylvania offices are seeking a Traffic Engineer/Transportation Planner, with opportunities in Pittsburgh, Mechanicsburg, or Philadelphia. This role involves working on diverse projects, supervising staff in document production, managing budgets and schedules, marketing new projects and clients, and preparing proposals. The position requires familiarity with MUTCD and AASHTO; HCM and HCS; Synchro/Sim Traffic Software and similar analysis tools; Traffic Signal design; and PA and other State agencies’ design standards and practices. Key responsibilities include preparing traffic impact studies, developing and assessing design/operational alternatives, performing roadway and pedestrian safety audits, and creating Transportation Management Plans (TMPs) in line with policies. Experience in staff management and mentoring, preparing technical and cost proposals, and understanding QA/QC procedures is necessary. Excellent oral, written, and organizational skills are essential. A PE license in PA is required, and a PTOE certification is desirable.
