Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or related discipline.
2 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

Nice To Haves

5 years of experience
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) and basic data science concepts.
Experience in applicable industry and GDOT standards, regulations, and guidelines, including MUTCD, AASHTO Green Book, GDOT preferred CAD software, and traffic analysis software.
EIT or Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in the state of Georgia or ability to obtain within 6 months

Responsibilities

Assist Traffic Safety and Traffic Operations professionals as needed.
Research and analyze vehicular and vulnerable road user (pedestrian, bicyclist, personal conveyance device user, or worker in a work zone) crash data.
Provide analysis to support development of design or operational ideas and solutions.
Research alternate solutions and design options in support of the project team, e.g. white paper research.
Assist in preparation of studies, conceptual designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings and working drawings.
Communicate and collaborate in a team environment and adapt to dynamic project needs.
