Traffic Design Engineer
About The Position
Responsible for engineering and smart mobility design using knowledge of general engineering principles and practices to interpret, organize, execute and coordinate assignments. This job involves a strong mix of electrical, civil, and systems engineering principles. This role is great for all ABET engineering graduates with courage and a love of adventure who are interested in applied technology, field troubleshooting, transportation systems, communications, controls, or smart mobility. Immigration sponsorship or support (e.g. H1B, F-1 CPT/OPT/STEM OPT) is not available for this position, except for qualified candidates eligible for the TN visa classification.

Responsibilities
- Assist with traffic signal design, including CAD and field work
- Assist with traffic signal corridor retiming, including field work, implementation, and fine-tuning
- Assist with design computations and plan preparations
- Assist with other traffic and safety studies, including field work
- Assist in designing projects in accordance with client specifications and guidelines, using design software and drawing tools
- Assist with developing the project quantities for construction cost estimate.
- Assist in the preparation of engineering documents for advertisement and construction
- Perform other related duties as assigned
