About The Position

Impark is seeking a reliable and safety-focused Traffic Controller to manage traffic flow during busy weekends and statutory holidays in Canmore. This seasonal role is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, has strong situational awareness, and can maintain a calm, professional demeanor in a dynamic environment. This position offers consistent weekend and holiday hours, the opportunity to work in the scenic mountain town of Canmore, a competitive hourly wage, and supplemental income opportunity. The Traffic Controller will act as a frontline employee, which is considered an extremely important function of this position, and will be responsible for the prioritization of various jobs with their supervisors/manager.

Requirements

• Ability to stand for long periods and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Must be punctual, dependable, and able to work independently.
• Must have reliable transportation to Canmore.

Nice To Haves

• A valid traffic control/flagging certification is preferred (training may be provided).

Responsibilities

• Direct vehicles and pedestrians safely around parking areas, events, or congested zones.
• Set up and remove traffic control devices such as signs and cones.
• Communicate effectively with drivers, pedestrians, coworkers, and supervisors.
• Monitor traffic conditions and make real-time decisions to ensure public and personal safety.
• Represent Impark professionally and adhere to all safety regulations.
• Ability to stand for long periods and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
