Traffic Control Technician employees are members of the IBEW Union, and union membership is required (enrollment facilitation available). The Traffic Control Technician works under the direction of a contractor to identify job needs and phases, provides onsite leadership to the work crew, assesses crew performance, and gives feedback to Operations Management. The Technician specializes in traffic plan review, traffic control equipment installation, flagging setups, flagger control, and jobsite supervision. A Traffic Technician is responsible for protecting the lives of customers, motorists, pedestrians, bicyclists, and themselves on the roadway.
