About The Position
The Traffic Control Supervisor manages road and highway construction projects, ensuring the safety of the work zone and its participants.
Requirements
- Must be certified with ATSSA credentials
- High school diploma or GED certificate
- Have at least one year of full-time field experience in the work zone traffic control
- Successful candidates must complete a drug screening and background check prior to employment
Responsibilities
- Setting up, maintaining, and removing traffic control devices, such as cones and signs
- Creating a traffic routing plan that complies with regulations
- Coordinating flagging duties and controlling traffic with a sign paddle
- Supervising teams as they install equipment, providing on-the-job training, and ensuring they follow safety protocols
- Communicating with customers and the foreman or supervisor, and notifying them of any safety issues
- Keeping the job site free of hazards and unloading trucks
- Compiling daily logs
- Driving company vehicles to transport equipment and team members
- Any additional tasks or projects assigned by their supervisor
