About The Position

American Striping Company (“ASC”), a Frontline Road Safety Group company, is seeking an experienced Traffic Control Supervisor to lead and coordinate traffic control operations across roadway, utility, bridge, highway, and freeway projects. ASC is a leading provider of road safety and traffic control services committed to protecting workers and the traveling public. The primary focus of this position is to lead and coordinate traffic control operations related to roadway, utility, bridge, highway, and freeway projects while ensuring compliance with traffic control plans and applicable safety regulations. The Traffic Control Supervisor is responsible for assigning work, coordinating crews, supporting customer communication, and maintaining efficient field operations.

Requirements

  • Advanced understanding of traffic control operations and work zone safety.
  • Ability to lead crews and coordinate multiple work activities.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proficient with dispatch systems, Microsoft Office Suite, iPads, and radios.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Willingness to travel overnight on a minimal basis.
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • CCA or ATSSA certification required.
  • Possession of a valid Class C driver’s license, with the ability to maintain insurability under the company’s insurance carrier.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum 5+ years of traffic control experience preferred.
  • Experience leading traffic crews preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Performs all traffic control duties independently.
  • Leads daily traffic control operations and crew assignments.
  • Coordinates setup, modification, and removal of traffic control work zones.
  • Reviews traffic control plans and ensures field compliance.
  • Monitors traffic control activities for safety and operational effectiveness.
  • Coordinates with customers, dispatch, and project teams to support project execution.
  • Provides training, mentoring, and work direction to traffic control personnel.
  • Conducts equipment inspections and verifies readiness of vehicles and materials.
  • Completes reporting and documentation timely and accurately.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
