Requirements

  • A certified Journeyman Electrician or Journeyman Power Lineman Licence is required.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid Class “G” Ontario Drivers Licence, or equivalent.
  • Must meet the definition of a competent driver as defined by the Corporation.
  • Must be reliable with the ability to effectively assign work, direct and instruct employees.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair traffic control and street lighting systems.
  • Provide technical leadership and support to the team.
  • Responsible for installing all new Traffic Control & Street Lighting.
  • Responsible for maintaining and repairing Traffic Control & Street Lighting equipment.
  • Assumes the duties of the Crew Leader when assigned.
  • Attends Safety, Traffic Control and Electrical seminars.
