About The Position

Sir Lines-A-Lot is looking for motivated Traffic Control Laborers to join our team in Tea, South Dakota. This role involves improving roadway safety by setting up and removing traffic control devices, directing traffic, and assisting with pavement marking operations. The company, Sir Lines-A-Lot, provides traffic control services and pavement markings for roads, highways, and parking lots throughout South Dakota. They are an operating company of Road Safety Services (RSS), a leading provider of pavement marking and traffic control services across North America.

Requirements

Valid driver's license required.
Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screen.
Ability to lift 50 pounds repeatedly and perform physically demanding work.
Willingness to work overtime, travel, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Mechanical aptitude and a strong work ethic.

Nice To Haves

High School Diploma or GED preferred.
CDL preferred or willingness to obtain.
Traffic control, pavement marking, construction, landscaping, or related experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Set up and remove traffic control devices, including signs, cones, barricades, message boards, and other work zone equipment.
Direct vehicle and pedestrian traffic through construction zones.
Assist with roadway and parking lot pavement marking operations.
Operate and maintain traffic control and striping equipment.
Perform routine equipment inspections and report maintenance needs.
Troubleshoot minor equipment issues in the field.
Follow all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Work as part of a team to deliver safe, high-quality roadway projects.
