About The Position

AWP Safety is seeking individuals to join their team as Protectors, working at job sites to manage traffic. This role requires no prior experience or degree, as the company provides comprehensive training and support for career development. The primary focus is on ensuring safety at all times.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license
• Ability to stand, walk, and work outdoors for extended periods
• Ability to lift 40-50 pounds
• Willingness to work in traffic and varying weather conditions
• Flexible schedule and punctuality for all shifts
• Must pass pre-hire screening, including a drug test, as this is a safety-sensitive position
• Ability to remain alert around moving traffic and consistently follow safety rules
• Treat coworkers, clients, and the public with respect

Nice To Haves

• Steel toe safety boots that go above the ankle

Responsibilities

• Setting up and taking down traffic control equipment such as cones, signs, and barricades.
• Using a stop/slow paddle to direct traffic while monitoring traffic and job site activity.
• Adhering to all safety rules taught during training.
• Communicating effectively with crew members and supervisors.
• Assisting in maintaining the cleanliness and safety of vehicles and equipment.
• Working outdoors in various weather conditions throughout the year.
• Working shifts that may include nights, weekends, or emergency call-outs based on job needs.
• Standing or walking for 8 to 12 hours per shift.
