As a Protector, you will work with a team at various job sites for AWP Safety, America’s leading traffic management company. No prior experience or degree is required, as the company provides training and support to help employees build a career in traffic safety. The primary focus of the role is safety. Daily tasks involve setting up and taking down traffic control equipment such as cones, signs, and barricades, and using a stop/slow paddle to guide traffic while monitoring both traffic flow and job site activity. Adherence to all safety rules learned in training is paramount. The position requires effective communication with crew members and supervisors, as well as assisting in keeping vehicles and equipment clean and safe. This role involves working outdoors throughout the year, in all weather conditions. Shifts may vary based on job needs, potentially including nights, weekends, or emergency work. Employees should be prepared to stand or walk for 8 to 12 hours per shift.
