About The Position
AWP Safety is seeking individuals to join their team as Protectors, focusing on traffic safety. This role does not require prior experience or a degree, as comprehensive training is provided. Requirements
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to stand, walk, and work outside for extended periods
- Ability to lift 40-50 pounds
- Willingness to work in traffic and varying weather conditions
- Flexible schedule and punctuality for all shifts
- Must pass pre-hire screening, including a drug test, as this is a safety-sensitive job
- Ability to remain alert around moving traffic and consistently follow safety rules
- Treat coworkers, clients, and the public with respect

- Steel toe safety boots that go above the ankle
Responsibilities
- Setting up and taking down traffic control equipment such as cones, signs, and barricades.
- Guiding traffic using a stop/slow paddle while monitoring traffic and job site activity.
- Adhering to all safety rules taught during training.
- Communicating effectively with crew members and supervisors.
- Assisting in maintaining the cleanliness and safety of vehicles and equipment.
- Working outdoors in various weather conditions throughout the year.
- Working shifts that may include nights, weekends, or emergency call-outs based on job needs.
- Standing or walking for 8 to 12 hours per shift.
