As a Protector, you will work with a team at various job sites for AWP Safety, America’s leading traffic management company. No prior experience or degree is required, as the company provides comprehensive training and support to help you build a career in traffic safety. Your primary responsibilities will involve setting up and taking down traffic control equipment such as cones, signs, and barricades, and using a stop/slow paddle to guide traffic. You will be expected to monitor traffic and job site activity, strictly adhere to all safety rules learned in training, and maintain clear communication with your crew and supervisor. Additionally, you will assist in keeping vehicles and equipment clean and safe. This role requires working outdoors throughout the year, in all weather conditions, and involves standing or walking for 8 to 12 hours per shift. Shifts may vary and could include nights, weekends, or emergency work based on job needs. AWP Safety provides essential safety gear including a hard hat, safety goggles, a safety vest, safety whistle, walkie talkie, and cold/hot weather gear, though you will need to provide your own steel-toe safety boots that extend above the ankle.
