About The Position

S&L Industrial is seeking a Traffic Control Estimator to join their growing team. This role involves analyzing plans, preparing competitive bids, and securing projects that improve roadway safety. S&L Industrial provides traffic control and pavement marking services across multiple states and is part of Road Safety Services (RSS), a leading national provider in the industry. The Traffic Control Estimator will prepare accurate estimates for traffic control projects, supporting business development and operational success by collaborating with Operations, Project Management, and the Corporate Estimating Team.

Requirements

• 2+ years of traffic control estimating experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record.

Nice To Haves

• Experience estimating traffic control, pavement marking, roadway safety, or highway construction projects preferred.
• Experience with estimating software such as Bid2Win is a plus.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Review project plans, specifications, and bid documents.
• Prepare quantity take-offs and cost estimates.
• Develop and submit competitive bids and proposals.
• Coordinate pricing with vendors and subcontractors.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and communicate project scope.
• Partner with Operations on scheduling, staffing, and project execution.
• Track bid results and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Build strong relationships with customers, contractors, vendors, and industry partners.
