About The Position

S&L Industrial is a leading provider of traffic control and pavement marking solutions, delivering high-quality roadways, highway, and parking lot striping services. As part of the Road Safety Services family of companies, S&L Industrial is committed to safety, quality, and operational excellence in every project we support. S&L Industrial is seeking a Traffic Control Estimator to join our growing team. As a Traffic Control Estimator you'll be responsible for preparing bid proposals for traffic control work, analyzing the market, and developing customer relationships. This is an in-person position that will regularly partner with our corporate office in Omaha, NE.

Requirements

2+ years of traffic control estimating experience
Familiarity with bid software (e.g., Bid2Win) is a plus
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Ability to manage priorities across multi-state operations
Self-motivated with the ability to meet tight deadlines
Valid driver's license with a strong driving record

Nice To Haves

Experience with traffic control, striping, or roadway projects preferred

Responsibilities

Review project plans, specifications, and bid documents
Perform quantity take-offs and develop detailed cost estimates
Prepare and submit quotes and bids within deadlines
Coordinate pricing with vendors and subcontractors
Ensure compliance with DOT standards and project requirements
Attend pre-bid meetings and communicate project scope internally
Track bid results and analyze outcomes to improve future estimates
Collaborate with operations on scheduling, logistics, staffing, and execution across multiple locations
Maintain accurate and organized project documentation
Build strong relationships with clients, contractors, and partners
