About The Position

Primoris Gas Operations, with over 60 years of experience in the natural gas distribution industry, is seeking a reliable and safety-focused Traffic Control Driver for the Little Canada, MN area. This role involves independently transporting, setting up, maintaining, and removing temporary traffic control devices for roadway and utility projects. This is a Union position (Laborers Local 563) offering competitive wages, benefits, and steady seasonal work supporting major utility clients like Xcel Energy & CenterPoint Energy.

Requirements

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Work outdoors in all seasons.
  • Reliable, self-motivated.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good employee and customer relationship skills.
  • Ability to coordinate several tasks at once and work under strict deadlines.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Nice To Haves

  • CDL preferred but not required.
  • Prior experience in traffic control, equipment maintenance, or construction is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate company truck and trailers to transport traffic control equipment to and from jobsites and traffic yards.
  • Set up, maintain, and remove temporary work zones per MnDOT, and MUTCD standards.
  • Perform daily vehicle and equipment inspections.
  • Follow all applicable laws while driving a company vehicle.
  • Assist with maintaining organized and clean traffic yards.
  • Ensure all equipment is in good working order and ready for field use and report any damaged equipment or devices accordingly.
  • Work independently while maintaining daily communication with supervisors and dispatch.
  • Complete all required paperwork accurately and on time.
  • Respond to on-call and weekend assignments as needed.
  • Assist with traffic control setups and pickups for most home Gopher Football games (Three Game minimum).
