About The Position

The Traffic Control Crew Lead is responsible for the proper setup and placement of traffic control work zone devices. They will oversee the setup, delivery, and installation of various traffic control operations.

Requirements

• Ability to work independently.
• Effectively communicate with contractors and customers.
• Understand how to read TxDot TCP and TCP in general.
• Meet Physical Requirements.
• Able to follow direction.
• Dependable & punctual.
• Safety minded.
• Use of small power tools.
• Use of hand tools.
• Two (2) years in Traffic Control.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the setup, delivery, and installation of various traffic control operations.
• Understand proper traffic control setup standards.
• Build signs with no supervision.
• Space signs properly without supervision.
• Train new employees (OJT).
• Complete all documentation & paperwork.
• Designate tasks to members of your crew.
