About The Position

Superior Traffic Control, LLC is hiring a Traffic Control Apprentice for its Baton Rouge office. The role involves working safely around live traffic, following supervisor directions and company policies, and using motorized hand tools and equipment. The position may require night and/or weekend work and infrequent out-of-town travel with at least 48 hours’ notice.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license.
• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to lift 80 lbs and perform repetitive physical tasks.
• Ability to stand for approximately 8 hours or more and sit for approximately 8 hours or more.
• Ability to arrive on time for scheduled shifts.
• Ability to work nights and/or weekends as requested.
• Ability to travel out of town infrequently when given 48 hours’ notice.
• Fine motor skills and hand dexterity, including tightening nuts and bolts, using hand tools, and completing paperwork.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and subsequent random drug screenings.
• Ability to follow specific directions from a supervisor.
• Good judgment in the field, including safe work practices around live traffic, and ability to adhere to company policies and procedures.
• Ability to operate required motorized hand tools and equipment.
• Ability to accurately use rulers and calculate measurements.
• Cooperative, team-player attitude.
