About The Position
Superior Traffic Control is seeking dedicated employees to join their Pell City office as Traffic Control Apprentices. This is an opportunity to work for a fast-growing company committed to employee advancement and promoting from within. The role involves working around live traffic, adhering to company policies, and performing various physical and manual tasks.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to lift 80 lbs
- Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time (8+/- hours)
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time (8+/- hours)
- Ability to arrive on time for scheduled shifts
- Ability to work nights and/or weekends as requested
- Ability to travel out of town as needed (infrequently), provided ample notice (48 hours) is given.
- Fine motor skills and hand dexterity (i.e., tightening nuts and bolts, using hand tools, filling out paperwork)
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and subsequent random drug screenings
- Capability of following specific directions from supervisor
- Ability to operate motorized hand tools and equipment required
- Ability to accurately use rulers and calculate measurements
- Cooperative, team player attitude
