This role involves compiling and maintaining records of inbound and outbound shipments, and planning and directing driver assignments. The Traffic Clerk serves as the first point of contact for delivery drivers, may handle cash received by carriers, and coordinates with warehouse and transportation teams to ensure accurate and timely completion of shipping/receiving documents. The position requires verifying and counting products to confirm data accuracy in the system, notifying carriers and team members of pending or unscheduled arrivals, and rescheduling appointments as needed. Data entry into the warehouse management system (WMS) scheduler is also a key responsibility.
