About The Position

HNTB is seeking a motivated, growth-focused engineer to support the production and delivery of traffic operations, traffic simulation, safety analysis, and design projects. The role regularly evaluates transportation measures using VISSIM, Synchro, HCS, and other traffic engineering tools. Projects range from local intersection and corridor-level studies to large, complex alternative delivery projects for clients including GDOT, TDOT, the City of Atlanta, Cobb County, Gwinnett County, MARTA, and other agencies. The engineer contributes to successful delivery of a diverse range of projects for HNTB clients.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 2 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree in Engineering and 1 year of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in applying engineering, geometric, and algebraic principles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and MicroStation and/or AutoCAD, or other software as required for assignments.

Nice To Haves

• Master's degree in Engineering.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) certification.
• Knowledge of MicroStation and/or AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned work within the specified schedule and number of hours.
• Prepare and/or modify selected portions of project reports, plans, designs, and calculations.
• Develop project quantities and assist with cost estimates.
• Assist engineering teams with organizing and administering design files.
• Independently perform tasks such as research, data collection, field investigations, project development, and design.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
