About The Position

LSEG (London Stock Exchange Group) is seeking a strong Java mid-level Engineer for the FX trading business in NY. This role involves creating Java-based applications and systems from conceptualization to implementation, focusing on scalability, security, and performance. The engineer will write well-designed, efficient, and testable code, conduct thorough testing and debugging, and perform maintenance updates and occasional support. Collaboration with other software developers, product owners, and QA engineers is essential for understanding requirements and delivering comprehensive applications. The role also includes creating operational manuals, system specifications, and other documentation.

Requirements

Proficiency in Java with 8+ years of experience writing clean, optimized code.
Excellent knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
Experience with trading systems development.
Experience with Spring Boot, messaging frameworks and caches.
Familiarity with working with relational databases to manage data transactions.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to tackle complex technical challenges.
Ability to create APIs for various applications and systems.
Cloud experience.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Kafka, Solace, Redis.
Experience writing latency sensitive code.

Responsibilities
