About The Position
This role involves managing a team responsible for futures and derivatives clearing operations. Key duties include ensuring accurate trade capture, allocation, and reconciliation across various exchanges and clearing houses. The position requires strict adherence to regulatory compliance (CFTC, NFA, exchange regulations) and leadership in market-specific clearing projects focused on innovation and efficiency. Collaboration with internal departments such as front office, trading desks, technology, compliance, and legal is essential. The role also entails handling client escalations, resolving inquiries, and supervising daily team activities, including workload management and performance feedback.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Business Management, or related field of study plus seven (7) years of experience in the job offered or as Trading Services Manager, Associate/Transaction Processing Manager, or related occupation.
- Alternatively, a Master's Degree in Business Administration, Business Management, or related field of study plus five (5) years of experience in the job offered or as Trading Services Manager, Associate/Transaction Processing Manager, or related occupation.
- Five (5) years of experience executing post-trade workflows using exchange-traded derivatives.
- Any amount of experience applying CFTC, NFA, and exchange rules in operational workflows.
- Any amount of experience operating exchange-specific user interfaces including CME FEC, ICE FEC, and OCC Encore.
- Any amount of experience operating Fidelity Investor Services applications including ClearVision, FIS Cleared Derivatives, and Global Market Interface.
- Any amount of experience streamlining workflows, automating processes, and implementing controls to review KPIs and SOPs.
- Any amount of experience developing and enhancing exchange reconciliations using Alteryx workflows.
Responsibilities
- Manage the futures and derivatives clearing operations team.
- Ensure precise trade capture, allocation, and reconciliation across exchanges, clients, and clearing houses.
- Ensure timely completion, review, and sign-off of all operational controls.
- Maintain strict compliance with CFTC, NFA, and relevant exchange regulations.
- Lead and manage market-specific clearing projects, driving initiatives for innovation, operational efficiency, and new business opportunities.
- Identify and implement process improvements across trade and client workflows.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders including front office, trading desks, technology, compliance, legal, and other operations teams.
- Address and resolve client escalations and ad hoc inquiries from clients, legal, compliance, and audit functions.
- Supervise daily team activities, including workload distribution, performance feedback, personnel actions, and cross-training initiatives.
